Receiver / Lead Steward

Future targets for new locations include West Hollywood, Toronto, Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami, New York, and Dubai. 1587 Prime is a brand new, immersive and upscale dining experience created by Noble 33 in partnership with Champions and global superstars, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The modern American steakhouse will be affiliated with the iconic Loews Hotel Kansas City, welcoming guests to indulge in an unparalleled culinary journey spanning nearly 10,000 square feet across two floors. The restaurant will boast multiple private dining rooms, a world-class chef's kitchen, and a meat display. The Receiver / Lead Steward position will receive all incoming orders to property including food, beverage, and all other miscellaneous products. Duties and Functions:
Ensure all deliveries are picked up by and delivered to proper department representatives. Verify, count and sign packing slips, match with invoices and codes for accounting and participate in inventory counts Communicate shorts and overages on invoices to the purchasing managers. Responsible for organization and sanitation of receiving areas and storage rooms including rotating all food deliveries appropriate to ensure freshness. Maintain acceptable inventory levels and ensure profitability by minimizing dead stock items. Label, date, store & rotate all food and beverage to avoid spoilage and control waste while maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety guidelines. Maintain storage spaces for equipment and for china, glassware and silverware (CGS). Receive and organize all equipment and CGS deliveries making sure all items are stored correctly. Lead and supervise the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure standards of sanitation/cleaning are followed Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned Be fully aware of MSDS book and chemicals labels Train all Kitchen Stewards: proper usage of chemicals, cleaning equipment, etc Ensure the Kitchen team has all required dishes and silverware, and guests have clean dishes Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications:
3-4 years previous experience in a receiving position in the food and beverage environment Posses a diligent work ethic Experience in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere and ability to multi-task and perform calmly and efficiently under pressure Good verbal, written, communication, analytical and problem solving skills Ability to accept and follow directions Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational and administrative skills. Must have open availability including working weekends, early mornings, late nights, and holidays. Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift up to 45 lbs Physical Requirements:
A significant portion of the work day requires walking and standing. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
