Milk Processing Facility Manager
Walmart is opening its third owned and operated milk processing facility in Robinson, Texas, scheduled to begin operations in 2026. The state-of-the-art facility will process and bottle a variety of milk options including Gallon, Half Gallon, Whole, 2%, 1%, Skim, 1% Chocolate Milk, and Cream for Walmart's Great Value and Sam's Club's Member's Mark brands. This new facility represents Walmart's commitment to building a more resilient and transparent supply chain, sourcing high-quality milk primarily from Texas dairy farmers to serve more than 750 Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and parts of Arkansas and Mississippi. Ensures compliance with food safety, quality control, and testing standards by maintaining documentation accuracy, monitoring laboratory training and testing, verifying processes and products meet specifications, and maintaining laboratory equipment Leads continuous improvement efforts by streamlining operations, maintaining department efficiency, anticipating and resolving issues, and distributing work assignments to ensure timely completion and release of materials and products Manages the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, establishing training, supporting HACCP program, troubleshooting quality issues, assisting with compliance regulations, and leading special projects Manages laboratory inventory levels by ensuring protocols for maintaining tools, equipment, and containers are followed, monitoring consumables rotation and usage, and preparing purchase requisitions to maintain proper stock levels Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability and measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity awareness 2+ years' supervising experience within a related environment over 5+ employees (for example, dairy plant, food processing, liquid beverage manufacturing) 2+ years' clerical experience (for example, filing, data entry) using computer applications (for example, email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Visio) 1+ years' experience with Chemical and Microbiological methods using instruments (for example, ICP, HPLC, GC, and HACCP Programs) Preferred Certifications: PCQI, SQF HACCP Nice to have: SAP, FOSS Machine, and Charm Sciences Unit The standard work hours will be Monday- Friday from 7am- 4pm. This role requires schedule flexibility to support team and operational needs.
