As a Transportation Consulting Manager, you will help improve client transportation functions through careful assessment of people, processes, and technology and providing recommendations for improvement in those areas. You will help clients reduce transportation costs by leading transportation procurement events and/or transportation system selections and/or through transportation optimization modeling projects. NTT DATA's transportation consulting services combine deep domain expertise with leading-edge technology and data analytics to reduce transportation costs and improve service levels across your supply chain. Once you are here, you will: Deliver successful projects according to the project plan, NTT DATA's methodology, and client expectations. Be the primary contact point for the client. Interface with the client to acquire business data, information, and insight. Alert the client of upcoming client resource or data requirements. Keep the client apprised of project status. Develop effective and polished presentation material from analysis results for interim and final deliverables. Manage and coordinate the activities of all project personnel and resources. Identify and employ creative quantitative techniques to identify strategies for improving the profitability and overall success of the client. Identify and communicate ways to improve NTT DATA's analysis tools and techniques. Manage, instruct, and mentor junior consultants/analysts in the techniques and methodology required to achieve the deliverable requirements. Via excellent communication skills, develop and maintain positive client relationships. Be willing and able to travel 20-40% based on project requirements and/or client demand Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, operations research, science, math, business, or related major. 5+ years transportation operations and/or transportation procurement and/or carrier management experience 3+ years of working experience leading and delivering large-scale transportation sourcing projects and/or transportation management system implementations and/or transportation modeling projects 3+ years of working within Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred skills: Experience with procurement optimization tools (e.g. Blue Yonder, Jaggaer, Coupa, Keelvar) Experience with transportation management systems (Oracle, Blue Yonder, E2open, Infios (MercuryGate), Manhattan Associates) Experience with transportation modeling tools (e.g. Blue Yonder Transportation Modeler, Infios MMO) Experience with routing and scheduling tools (e.g. Descartes Fleet Management, Omnitracs) Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau or Power BI) Experience working within Access, SQL, Alteryx, or equivalent The ideal mindset of a Transportation Consulting Manager is that of a client focused, adaptable and innovative leader who communicates effectively and has a focus on strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making, quality, excellence, team development, mentoring and ethical integrity. Must reside in the US Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $105,000.00-$155,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
