We're seeking a proven Business Development Manager, Fleet Upfitting to drive new business growth with a primary focus on Commercial Truck Upfitters. This field-based role offers great earning potential while working in our fast-paced, competitive environment. You'll spend approximately 70% of your time developing new business and 30% nurturing existing customer relationships, with travel up to 50% to build strong dealer partnerships and capture market opportunities. Key Responsibilities
New Business Development (70%)
Lead Generation : Generate and qualify new leads with Commercial Truck Upfitters and light-duty Ford/GM/Ram dealers Market Penetration : Develop and execute strategic market penetration plans for assigned territories Pipeline Management : Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through disciplined CRM usage and activity-based KPIs Complex Sales : Navigate 3-6 month sales cycles, negotiate and close complex upfitting deals Industry Presence : Represent our company at industry events and trade shows to prospect new clients Account Management (30%)
Relationship Nurturing : Maintain and grow existing customer base within dealer networks Quick Wins : Identify and close quick-win van-upfit and commercial truck orders Territory Focus : Manage light-duty Ford/GM/Ram dealers within assigned geographic region Market Intelligence : Provide insights on market trends and competitive landscape Strategic Activities
CRM Excellence : Maintain disciplined pipeline reporting and meet new activity KPIs Self-Generation : Execute hunter-mentality prospecting through cold calling, dealer networks, and marketing lead conversion Performance Accountability : Deliver against territory revenue targets and new dealer account metrics
