Welding Instructor
Teach various courses in Welding. Maintain familiarity with and adhere to college policies and procedures. Provide instruction and an effective learning environment to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified in the syllabi of the assigned course. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of all aspects of the Welding trade Skills in project leadership; style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation Commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning Ability to use effective strategies to engage students in their learning Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Familiarity with MS Office software Commitment to multi-cultural and multi-generational diversity Strong communication and computer skills Commitment to quality service to students Knowledge of power and hand tools related to the craft or trade Candidates must hold an Associate degree in welding or closely related field. A minimum of one year experience in the field. Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead position as well as operations in CNC plasma preferred.
