Machine Technician Sr
You will be a Machine Technician Sr with our team in Archbald, PA. Lockheed Martin Archbald is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control facility that provides design, manufacturing, engineering & field service support for both domestic and international customers. As a Machine Technician Sr, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Responsible for directing and participating in all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment Works in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager to make sure that the machines are safe and operating at peak condition Diagnoses, repairs and tests malfunctioning equipment and machinery. May replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment Provides daily emergency and preventative maintenance on any machine or system in the facility and assistance to production and manufacturing with process and machinery improvements Performs routine inspections to ensure safe and dependable operation of all manufacturing and electrical equipment Performs lockout/tag out procedures for safety Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt Tracks repair and maintenance work using logs and databases Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications Solicite bids and quotes from vendors Preparing and responding to any and all audits for the Maintenance Area Executing assigned maintenance area capital projects Operate forklift, scissor lift or other support equipment as needed Maintains workstation/cell in organized manner and in compliance with any applicable safety standards Receives and, when assigned, provides cross-training for other tasks related to department functions and procedures Recommends and executes changes to achieve process improvements and/or cycle time reductions Performs other job-related duties as required by management Participates in the development or redesign of tooling and fixtures to improve quality or reduce costs Collaborates with other personnel to train or teach various machining or set-up techniques to obtain proficient use of time and produce quality parts Interfaces with supervision, engineering, production control and program management to identify priorities and to assign job tasks as required to achieve program schedules Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment with the emphasis on Fanuc Control operated CNC equipment Ability to read and understand machine maintenance manuals, operation manuals, Fanuc instruction manuals, and associated machine documentation Experience in the use of oscilloscopes, Frequency Meters, Volt/Ohm Meters and all instruments applicable to the diagnosis of a malfunction Knowledge in tuning electronic circuits, reactance, impedance, resonance and semi-conductors Must be capable of quickly finding and correcting or replacing mal-functioning printed circuit boards, capacitors, resistors, diodes and transistors in sophisticated automated equipment, plus electrical repairs to any and all other equipment Prior experience with PM, troubleshooting, calibration, break down repairs and overhauls of machinery and building systems including PLC controllers and electrical systems Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing expertise Ability to communicate to the manufacturer of each machine exactly what part is needed for the maintenance or repair of the specific unit Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification Desired Skills: Associates degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent Knowledge of automatic tool changers, pallet changers, ball screw & axis support bearing replacement, machine alignment and spindle cartridge replacement Check and adjust flatness, level/alignment of machine beds, linear and rotary axis tool and pallet changers Clearance Level: None Other Important Information You Should Know: Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
