Principal Specialist, Contracts

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Strategic Sensors and Precision Strike (SSPS) Organization. This role will be supporting two programs within the Upper-Tier Missile Defense (UTMD) program area, providing contract management support of significant scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working on collaborative, cross functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills. What You Will Do:
Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies. Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships. Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration. Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly. Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise. Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks. Some travel up to 15% may be required to support customer meetings. Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience. Experience with U.S. Government contracts administration / management including proposals and terms and conditions or other closely related contracts experience. Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and equivalent U.S. Government regulations. Qualifications We Prefer:
Strong partnering and collaboration with others in a teaming environment, and deferring to management as appropriate. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers. Business acumen with financial understanding of the business.
