Fortinet Network Engineer

MetroSys is seeking a skilled Fortinet Network Engineer to join our team to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Fortinet security products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and associated Fortinet technologies. This role will be responsible for designing secure network architectures, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing security best practices. Key Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and security policies Administer and maintain FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized management and reporting Design and implement network security architecture across LAN/WAN environments Perform upgrades, patches, and backups of Fortinet devices Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and security events Collaborate with internal teams and clients to assess security posture and recommend improvements Maintain documentation related to network configurations, changes, and procedures Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc.) Requirements

35+ years of experience in network engineering or network security Hands-on expertise with Fortinet products: FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP Strong knowledge of routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, NAT, ACLs) Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL) and firewall policy design Familiarity with SIEM integration and network monitoring tools Fortinet NSE certifications preferred (NSE4 or above) Experience with network segmentation, high availability, and redundant systems Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) Exposure to SD-WAN or hybrid cloud networking solutions Familiarity with other network/security tools (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, etc.)
