Network Engineer

That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network our client needs. As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your skills in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing and forwarding to help support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You'll apply your knowledge in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in cryptographic equipment, cryptography, key management, software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud migration, optical infrastructure networking, virtual routing and forwarding you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. 2+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks 2+ years of experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including VMWare, Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper 2+ years of experience capturing network requirements from a client and incorporating it in a topline requirements matrix Experience with classified networks Knowledge of security, routing and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs Top Secret clearance HS diploma or GED DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification Nice If You Have:
Experience with STIGing or security hardening of systems Experience with NESSUS, ACAS, or security analysis tools Experience with operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems and VMWare TS / SCI clearance CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, JN CIA, or JNCP Certification CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ Certification Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
