Head Of Growth

We are witnessing a silent pandemic of mental and behavioral health disorders among children and young people. Today, 1 in 5 children in the U.S. has a diagnosable mental health disorder, yet about half of those who need care never receive it from a behavioral health provider. At Handspring, we've set out to rebuild this system from the ground up. We are a team of diverse, mission-driven, and passionate individuals dedicated to making quality mental healthcare accessible to all young people and their families. Handspring is a virtual mental health clinic for children, teens, and young adults. We are dedicated to transforming mental healthcare for families through high-quality, accessible virtual therapy. Handspring has raised over $18M from reputable venture capital firms including Cobalt Ventures, NextView Ventures, nvp capital, 25madison, Arkitekt Ventures, VamosVentures, Hyde Park Angels (HPA), as well as strategic healthcare investors. About The Role

We're hiring a Head of Growth to join our team as Handspring's first growth hire. In this foundational role, you will own strategy and execution across all growth channels, building a high performing function from the ground up to drive both paid and organic acquisition. You will shape how families discover and engage with care at a moment when pediatric mental health support is more critical than ever. This is a rare opportunity to define the voice and reach of a category-defining company, alongside a mission-driven team working to expand access to care for young people. We move fast, operate with deep empathy, and value clarity, experimentation, and humility. If you are ready to drive impact at scale, we would love to meet you. Your job is simple in definition and hard in execution: drive patient growth while keeping acquisition costs in check. You will own Handspring's growth engine end-to-end (strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting) across all paid and organic channels. Key Responsibilities

Own the growth number. You are responsible for hitting patient acquisition targets while maintaining efficient CAC.

Run and optimize paid channels. This includes managing digital campaigns (search, social, programmatic, etc), testing creatives, adjusting budgets, and optimizing performance daily.

Drive organic growth. Build and execute on strategies across SEO, content, B2B partnerships, lifecycle, email, and referral programs.

Manage the existing fractional team. You'll directly oversee our contractors and agencies (paid media, creative, SEO, etc.), ensuring they're aligned, efficient, and accountable.

Be hands-on. In many cases, you will personally launch campaigns, write copy, analyze data, and troubleshoot performance issues.

Collaborate cross-functionally. Work closely with product, clinical, operations, and leadership to align growth efforts with the patient experience, capacity, and company priorities.

Measure, report, and adapt. Track KPIs, surface insights, and adjust tactics quickly based on performance data.

Implement CRMs and tracking systems: Includes implementing lifecycle marketing for referral partners, and tools like Mixpanel for funnel tracking.
