Under licensed supervision, until Wastewater Class D license is attained: Collects various samples, performs visual inspection, and send to lab for testing and analysis in primary and/or secondary treatment area. Operates, maintain, and repairs equipment in primary and/or secondary treatment area and observes the operation of related plant equipment. Reads gauges/meters/control panel, records information and reports issues to the Operator, or other supervisors, as needed. Maintain daily log of duties performed and issues found Follows safety policies and procedures. Maintains facilities and grounds in designated areas to ensure a neat and tidy appearance. Completes continuing education directly related to job responsibilities and as required by professional licensing organizations. Performs related duties as assigned. Physical and Environmental Conditions

Ability to sit, stand, and transport self from building to building. Ability to drive a vehicle to and from various work sites when needed. Employee will work in seasonal temperatures bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, twisting, and climbing in order to operate and maintain plant equipment. Employee can work with potential mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards while collecting samples. Employee may be exposed to communicable diseases while handling raw sewage. Required Qualifications

- Ability to take the initiative to learn individual job tasks and continue to broaden knowledge levels by willingly accepting new responsibilities and attending training to advance skills - Ability to demonstrate satisfactory work performance and regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. - Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with employees and supervisors orally, or via email and/or text. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. - Ability to learn job-related procedures, tools and equipment, primarily through verbal instruction, observation, and on-the-job training. Ability to read and interpret operator's manuals and gauges. - Acquire skills in safely and efficiently operating, maneuvering, and/or controlling the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and materials used in performing essential functions. - Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and organize work assignments, and meet established deadlines. - Ability to properly diagnose issues, communicate clearly, and generate work orders. Must be capable of writing clearly to log data and results. - Acquire skills in reading, interpreting, and applying technical information from manuals, drawings, specifications, layouts, blueprints, and schematics and effectively use this information to make repairs Applicant must possess a Class D Wastewater Certification as issued by TCEQ within a 6-month period from date of hire, and the ability to obtain a Class C Wastewater Certification within organization's established time constraints High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Texas Driver's License required.
