Lead Installation Technician

This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Lead Installation Technicians are responsible for monitoring general assigned activities of a team in the field to include installation, testing, trouble-shooting and subsequent repairs of fire alarm/life safety systems and related components. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings Test and repair existing alarm systems Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues Meet with building engineers, property management and/or site contacts upon arrival to facility to notify of work status and again upon conclusion of business day Verify integrity of all work prior to tying-in to building's fire alarm system. This may include functionality testing of installed devices, metering circuits and devices for shorts, grounds and faults Inspect and maintain company truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner Protect and maintain company equipment Respond to emergency service calls Perform other duties assigned by management Education/Qualification:
5+ years' experience in fire alarm industry is required An Active Fire Alarm License (FAL) required Experience with commercial and residential systems Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72) Knowledge of OSHA 10, 20, or 30 is a plus Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity and manage teams or groups of individuals on projects Troubleshooting skills Display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work Interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations without supervision Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy Must be open to drive vast service area Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record Benefits and Perks:
