Chief CRNA opportunity with Richmond University Medical Center, a 470+ bed teaching facility in Staten Island, NY. Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) is an award-winning 470+ bed healthcare facility and teaching institution serving borough residents as a leader in the areas of acute, medical and surgical care, including emergency care, surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, oncology, orthopedics, neonatal intensive care and maternal health. Leadership: Mallikarjuna Yalamanchili, M.D., Associate Chairman Elizabeth Gooding, DNP, APRN, CRNAAdvanced Practice Anesthesia Director Team Highlights Responsibilities: Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements: Current license as a registered professional nurse Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Staten Island is the southernmost of New York City's 5 boroughs.
