Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. As the Sustainment Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for analyzing technical data to determine sustaining requirements and associated costs, as well as maintaining replenishment parts models to ensure the availability of spares and repair parts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to mitigate potential component obsolescence and develop solutions to support sustainment and production needs. Your responsibilities will include: Analyzing technical data to determine spares and repair parts provisioning requirements and associated costs Maintaining replenishment parts models, including historical parts consumption, parts obsolescence, lead-times, costs, and predicted future requirements Monitoring and ensuring the availability of spares, support equipment spares, and repair parts Mitigating potential component obsolescence, including tracking known issues and communicating with stakeholders Developing and maintaining visual representations of component and/or sub-system roadmaps Communicating with customers and IPTs on issues and needs, and creating reports and presentations Lockheed Martin is a global aerospace, defense, and security company dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and harnessing innovation to make the world a safer place. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 4 years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of engineering experience Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance Experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent team collaboration and communication skills (written and oral) Must be able to work on site, in office Desired Skills: Minimum 4 years of experience within Reliability and Maintainability discipline Experience with RAM&T allocations and predictions Development of Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis Experience with Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis Development of mission reliability analysis Support of investigation of issues Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Experience with Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Experience with maintainability demonstrations Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
