Sr. Director, Chief Of Staff
The Sr. Director, Chief Of Staff (CoS) for Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) will manage strategic priorities and lead key project execution. The CoS will support the SVP of CORE and the CORE SLT, including key horizontal and Product partners. This critical position will enable leaders to execute strategic priorities while ensuring operational rigor. The Chief Of Staff will be a leader of leaders, responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining strategic areas foundational for the success of the leaders and priorities within CORE, a division within Capital One's Enterprise Technology organization. Candidates should have a passion for technology, strong strategic command, an engaging executive presence, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strength in relationship-building, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once. Executive support and team culture: Drive an intentional organizational culture and facilitate a management system to ensure organizational effectiveness; Lead initiatives to promote associate engagement and recognition in conjunction with the CORE SLT and in partnership with HR Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional key stakeholders to understand processes, build a shared vision, and drive the organization forward in a well-integrated manner. Connect dots across multiple teams to understand aggregate impacts to the business. Communications: Partner with communications resources to enhance our organizational brand internally with associates and outwardly with stakeholders. Ensure alignment within the organization through strategically designed updates around strategy and progress. Event Planning/Associate Engagement: Work with the Associate Experience and Admin teams to organize and shape agendas for team-wide events (e.g., All Calls, Annual Gathering), leadership events (e.g., SLT meetings, Offsites), and stakeholder meetings (e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews). Operational Excellence: In partnership with key stakeholders, lead the development and implementation of short and long term horizontal priorities and special projects across the team. Prioritization and Planning: Support the development of key performance indicators (KPI's) and dashboards to track progress towards organizational objectives to help prioritize and adapt to evolving business needs; Deeply understand prioritization and delivery roadmap, and partner with Product, Program, and other key stakeholders to structure and facilitate planning rhythms. Talent: In partnership with HR and SLT, ensure creation of and execution of appropriate talent strategies to drive towards and support business goals. Skills / Competencies Needed:

Bachelor's degree At least 9 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Program Management At least 5 years of experience as a Chief of Staff or in a Technology or Business Strategy leadership role At least 3 years of experience managing executive level stakeholders Preferred Qualifications:

McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff New York, NY: $288,400 - $329,100 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff Richmond, VA: $240,300 - $274,300 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
