Human Resources Compliance Senior Analyst

This position is based in the Firm's global operations center in Brandon, FL (Tampa Bay area). We are seeking a Human Resources Compliance Senior Analyst to join our team. The Human Resources Compliance Senior Analyst under general direction assists with ensuring the Firm's HR practices align with all applicable employment laws and regulations. This position reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager and collaborates closely with the Chief Professional Development & HR Officer, Director of Human Resources, department heads and managers, office managers, and other members of the HR team. This position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing flexibility to work from home and the office. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: Ensure legal compliance of HR state, local and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, recommend best practices; draft, review and update policies and practices to maintain compliance. Proactively monitor changes in the legal and regulatory landscape, implementing or updating internal policies and documentation accordingly. Ensure I-9 and E-Verify compliance for all employees; manage work authorization documentation and process (review documentation, monitor expiration dates, work with the firm's immigration attorney on special cases as needed). Analyze background check results and escalate findings to Senior Human Resources Manager, HR leadership and legal counsel as appropriate. Provide guidance and interpretation to managers and employees to support consistent and effective application of HR policies and practices. Conduct audits of HR processes including wage and hour compliance. Provide HR documentation and data in support of internal and external audits, including ISO, SOC, and other regulatory or client-driven reviews. Assist with the design and delivery training to management and employees in HR-related firm policies and practices. Coordinate the filing of various annual requirements (i.e., EEO-1, California Pay Data, etc.). Manage unemployment insurance claims by preparing and submitting timely responses. Collaborate closely with the employee relations team to collect relevant documentation and ensure accuracy. Understand the confidentiality of the nature of human resources and firm work while building strong relationships and collaborating with employees and leadership. Recommend improvements in efficiency and services provided in the assigned functional areas. Special projects and duties as assigned. Required Skills: Strong analytical and investigative skills with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate legal concepts into practical HR guidance. Strong customer service and follow through when resolving issues. Ability to manage highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity; ability to exercise appropriate judgment. Required Qualifications & Education: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with a strong concentration in employment law compliance, including policy development. In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms. Preferred Qualifications & Education: Professional Certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred. Law firm experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
