Lead Software Systems Engineer (Top Secret Clearance)

This position will be responsible for providing Systems Engineering support for systems and associated subsystems across spectral programs in the Space and Airborne Systems Segment of L3Harris Technologies. Our Spectral Systems teams serve a broad array of government, civil, and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users. Essential Functions: Lead an interdisciplinary team in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations. Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop and manage system models. Design and implement software systems to support space mission engineering. Decompose high-level requirements into detailed, actionable specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of system components. Participate in Agile development processes. Conduct system-level analyses and trade studies. Develop and maintain documentation. Support the verification and validation of system requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience or minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Active Top Secret security clearance. 5+ years in Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools. Professional experience with microservice architecture and its application in software systems. Prior or current Product Owner, CAM, or IPTL experience in space mission engineering. Professional experience decomposing complex requirements into detailed specifications. Professional experience with Agile development methodologies and tools. Preferred Additional Skills: Experience with other MBSE tools and frameworks. Knowledge of space systems and subsystems. Certification in Agile methodologies. MBSE Certification. Experience with systems engineering standards and best practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem-solving skills.
