Communication Network Engineer II
Athenix Solutions Group is looking for a Communication Network Engineer II for a large program in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Communications Network Engineer will monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and/or evaluate hardware, software and other network related problems; provide technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the global networks and systems. They will perform general LAN/CAN/WAN administration, schedule conversions and cutover, as well as coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Responsibilities: Responsible for monitoring, tracking and evaluating global Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) incidents Assist customers with resolving problems to include performance and configuration Provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, design and orders Provide in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government agencies Provide interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management Provides telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures Requirements: Requires an active a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to start Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical field and six (6) years work experience in similar role. An additional six (6) years may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree, or an additional four (4) years with an Associate's Degree. Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II Salary Description 143000-165000
