Surveillance Manager
We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Surveillance Manager to join our team here at Parkwest Bicycle Casino- Located in Bell Gardens, California! Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of Surveillance staff to ensure compliance with internal policies and state gaming regulations. Monitor live and recorded video feeds for signs of theft, fraud, cheating, policy violations or unsafe behavior in casino gaming areas, cage operations, count rooms, employee areas and surveillance systems. Conduct routine reviews and audits of saved surveillance footage for incident reports. Audit dealer variances, cage variances, bonus hands, daily shift reports and MTL logs that were completed by the surveillance operators. Document and report any observed violations of company policy, procedures, or gaming regulations. Collaborate with several departments to include but not limited to Security, Gaming, Human Resources, Compliance and Cage departments as necessary. Train both new and current Surveillance Operators on new practices or procedure changes ensuring proficiency in surveillance procedures and use of equipment while ensuring adherence to operational procedures and ethical standards. Documents all instances on internal noncompliance by Surveillance Operators and reports such instances to the Surveillance Manager for investigation. Conduct periodic evaluations; tracks attendance and points and participate in disciplinary actions when appropriate. Maintain logs, reports, and records in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements. Respond to incidents requiring immediate attention, including patron disputes, theft, and suspicious activity. Ensure that all shifts are covered when operators are absent (sick or vacation). Ensure surveillance systems are operational and coordinate maintenance or repairs when needed. Other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and other related gaming software. Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test. Must be at least 21 years of age. Able to deal effectively and interact well with other departments. Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules. Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively. Able to work independently and/or a team environment. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. An associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security supervision/management or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of surveillance/security experience. Qualified individual must have knowledge of games offered by Parkwest Bicycle Hotel & Casino including but not limited to the mechanics of card cheating and manipulation. Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 25 pounds Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Must have excellent visual acuity to monitor multiple video surveillance screens for extended periods of time. Must have adequate hearing ability to clearly understand and respond to radio traffic, alarms and verbal communications. Ability to maintain focus attention in low light, quiet environment while observing video feed for long durations. Manual dexterity to operate surveillance controls and computers.
