Accounts Payable Associate
The Salvation Army is hiring for an Accounts Payable Associate in the Finance Department. The position is available immediately and requires part-time plus commitment, with 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role reports to the Assistant Controller - Division and offers a salary of $23.10 per hour, grade 76, non-exempt. Responsible for the processing of all phases of accounts payable to all Corps/Divisional funds. Maintains the accuracy of all disbursements entered into the Serenic accounting system. Responsibilities
Review incoming invoices for completeness, approval, prior payment history. Enter invoice data into accounting software Mail checks and file voucher copies with backup information Process remittances where applicable Research statements, vendor inquiries, program inquiries, payment issues The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. Qualifications
Beginner competency of computer software including Word and Excel. Strategic thinker and effective decision maker. Good oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple levels of operations. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environment. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
