We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is critical in supporting our manufacturing operations through accurate cost analysis, standard cost setting, and variance reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and a passion for continuous improvement and financial accuracy. Essential Functions
Develop, implement, and maintain standard costing systems for all manufacturing operations. Set and periodically review cost standards in collaboration with operations and supply chain teams. Analyze monthly manufacturing cost variances and provide actionable insights to management for correction Investigate and correct discrepancies in BOM, recipe and cost data and ensure accurate reporting. Prepare and present cost reports, profitability analysis, and inventory valuations. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost-related inputs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost efficiency and financial transparency. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with standard costing systems and ERP platforms (preferably SAP). Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation. Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Accounting/Finance). Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems. Education Requirements
