Qualifications Job Description

The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care throughout the hospital for a defined shift. The Supervisor works in conjunction with the Department Directors and Chief Nurse Executive to ensure continuous delivery of quality patient care throughout the building. Has a thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, ACHA, AOA, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current RN licensure by Texas State Board of Nursing 5 years clinical experience in acute care hospitals. Bachelor's Degree required, Master's in Nursing or other appropriate discipline preferred. Certification in specialty area preferred. Demonstrates effectiveness in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication skills. High tolerance for stressful situations. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship skills and strong people skills. Basic computer skills required.
