The Mental Health Technician I (MHT I) provides services to people who experience serious mental illness. This includes providing group and or individual training on a variety of topics including social, coping skills, and self-management. Provides support to patients/consumers to keep appointments that meet the needs of the individual patient/consumer and engages in crisis prevention and management as necessary. MHT I may work in the hospital, outpatient clinic, or community settings, including support provided in the home, at work/school, or in shelters.
