Job Location: Scottsdale, AZ Position Type: Priority Ambulance Description

Overview: This position will utilize Intacct accounting software to prepare Consolidated Financial Statements. Assists in accounting activities including by not limited to journal entry preparation, account analysis, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations. Reports To: Accounting Manager Responsibilities: Assists in month-end and year-end close processes including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Performs moderately complex account roll forwards, analyzes the data and provides meaningful and accurate information to management. Generates standard and non-standard reports, analyze general ledger activity to resolve outstanding issues. Communicates with various corporate and subsidiary departments to resolve issues as needed. Ensures compliance with company accounting policies and the application of GAAP. Assists with internal and external periodic audits by preparing timely and accurate supporting schedules. Recommend process improvements to enhance controls and efficiencies within all responsibilities. Assist with onboarding of new accounting team members. Ad hoc projects as necessary. Qualifications

Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required Actively pursuing a Certified Public Accountant certification or already is a CPA At least 2 to 4 years of experience in the field of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required. Strong computer skills and an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including (Excel, Word) preferred. Additional Requirements: Must have sufficient oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate general accounting information to internal and external customers. Must be results oriented and have the ability to prioritize schedules to meet unexpected problems and continuously adjust workload to meet changing daily demands and priorities. Must be organized, highly motivated and have the ability to function well within a team environment. Ability to develop and suggest solutions independently. Ability to take initiative in meeting primary accountabilities. Must possess a sense of urgency, great attention to detail and have the ability to function within a dynamic, fast paced and changing structure. Requires working extended hours as needed to support the monthly / yearly reporting deliverables.
