We are committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, access and inclusion. $80,000.00 - $90,000.00/annually Duties and Responsibilities Manage editorial content for Broadway.com, ensuring high-quality and engaging news and features that align with the site's voice and mission. Foster open communication by maintaining regular and proactive dialogue with the Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief, providing updates on editorial projects, challenges and opportunities. Lead a team of writers and contributors, providing guidance, feedback and support to ensure compelling and accurate content. Collaborate with marketing, design, and social media teams to develop and execute integrated content and initiatives. Edit and proofread news, features, interviews, and other written content, ensuring grammatical accuracy and factual correctness. Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals to secure interviews and access to events. Manage the content calendar, coordinating with contributors and freelancers to ensure deadlines are met and content is published in a timely manner. Serve as an ambassador for Broadway.com by attending events and press nights, representing the brand professionally and knowledgeably. Strong editorial judgment and ability to make decisions that align with the brand's voice and editorial standards. Ability to lead and mentor a team of writers, editors, and contributors. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong research skills to gather information, conduct interviews, and verify facts related to Broadway shows, events and personalities. Proficiency in digital publishing tools, content management systems (CMS), and basic HTML. Familiarity with SEO principles and strategies to optimize content for search engines and maximize organic traffic. Passion for theater, a deep appreciation for Broadway and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing that passion with others through engaging and informative content. Communication Skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and social media. Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and factual correctness in all published content.
