Assistant Resident Engineer (Wastewater) in NYC!
This role will be assisting the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction activities. The position focuses on ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. The Assistant Resident Engineer will also be responsible for quality assurance, coordination among various stakeholders, documentation, problem-solving, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities
Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction activities. Monitor and enforce quality control measures, conducting regular inspections and tests. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address construction-related issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, inspection logs, and change orders. Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges. Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience working on large Wastewater Treatment Plant or Industrial size construction projects. Experience in plant settings. NYCDEP project experience. Comprehensive knowledge of Civil/MEP. Understanding of Structural Foundations in Wastewater Treatment Plant or Industrial projects. EIT certification and on track to obtain PE (Professional Engineer). Additional Skills & Qualifications
PE certification. Work Environment
This position is part of the NYCDEP WWTP project located in the Bronx at Hillview. You will work on-site five days a week, from 7 AM to 4 PM, alongside a team of inspectors, field engineers, construction managers, and Resident Engineers. The field office is located on site. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
