Drainage Engineer
Are you a passionate and experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in hydrology and hydraulics? Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Drainage Engineer to join our team in the vibrant Tampa and Orlando regions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and implementation of innovative drainage solutions for a variety of challenging projects. About the Role:
Hydrologic & Hydraulic Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of conveyance systems, design cross drains, and develop effective stormwater management facilities. Floodplain Analysis:
Perform floodplain compensation analysis to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Design & Permitting:
Design and prepare construction plans consistent with FDOT standards and assist with the permitting process through agencies such as the South Florida Water Management District and the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Project Management:
Serve as the Drainage Engineer of Record on projects, overseeing all aspects of design, analysis, and permitting. Team Leadership:
Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of our team. Client Relationships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Who You Are:
A Civil Engineering Expert:
Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Experienced Professional:
Have at least 5 years of experience in land development design, with a strong emphasis on FDOT drainage design and permitting. Technically Proficient:
Possess a strong understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to hydrology, hydraulics, site design, and roadway design. Software Savvy:
Be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and have experience with FDOT design software programs such as OpenRoads. A Strong Communicator:
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively communicate with clients, agencies, and team members. Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Professional Engineer (PE). Experience with StormWise (previously ICPR4) hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software. Additional Info:
Pay Range:
