Job Title

Plans and directs the center-wide program services with broad oversight of program activities. Plans, develops, trains and provides daily supervision of program operations, volunteers and staff. Performs and monitors a variety of programmatic administrative duties to support program operations. Ensures all programs are operated in a safe manner and positively impact the lives of youth through activities and services that measurably and progressively move youth individually to attain positive outcomes. May be required to transport youth center members and staff to/from center and approved activities and events. Participates in the Salvation Army's ministry advancement by collaborating with the Salvation Army Officers to ensure Red Shield Youth Centers provide an engaging, enriching and empowering environment where youth develop Christ-like character, preparing them to become tomorrow's leaders. Qualifications

What we are looking for in you: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field And Two (2) years' work experience planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people Or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position requires regular business hours, afternoon, evening, nights, and weekends as needed to provide oversight to programs, attend events and address urgent matters. Ability to perform a variety of physical activities on a regular basis requiring constant motion (standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, pushing/pulling and hand-eye coordination) necessary to lead and participate in a variety of youth programming and physical activities. Ability to lift (or obtain assistance lifting) moderately heavy (30-60 lbs.) program equipment following appropriate safety precautions. Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words, communicating orally with others accurately and clearly. Ability to drive an approved vehicle to transport youth center staff and members in a safe manner obeying all driving requirements and standards. Frequently spend time in intense concentration reviewing and entering information into computer. Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone, computer, or other electronic device. Requires travel and driving program participants within the community and to participate in off-site Center events. Why work for us?
