The Ned NoMad In-Room Dining Server
The Ned NoMad is seeking an In-Room Dining Server to join our team. This role involves delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests in the comfort of their rooms. The server maintains cleanliness and organization of the in-room dining area, supports restocking for future shifts, and provides warm, personalized service that reflects the high standards of the hotel. Our culture is one of vibrant energy paired with unwavering support. We're seeking an individual who excels in collaboration, communicates effectively, and is deeply committed to delivering exceptional service. Your attention to detail and customer-focused approach will ensure that every guest experience at The Ned NoMad is not just memorable, but truly extraordinary. The Ned NoMad is a sophisticated members' club and hotel nestled in the heart of New York City. As the first international outpost of The Ned, we proudly opened our doors in Summer 2022, following the iconic debut of The Ned London in 2017. Set in the historic Johnston Building, formerly the NoMad Hotel, our property boasts a rich legacy dating back to 1903. With design expertise from the Soho House Design team, we've lovingly preserved the building's original charm while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary style. At The Ned NoMad, we offer an eclectic mix of exclusive and public spaces, including 167 elegantly appointed bedrooms and suites, a lively rooftop bar and terrace restaurant, a first-floor bar, grill, and lounge, and nightly live entertainment at The Atrium Stage. Our public dining options include Cecconi's, a modern-day classic Italian restaurant inspired by mid-century Trattorias, and Little Ned, a chic spot for handcrafted cocktails and bar classics with views of the Empire State Building. Responsibilities: Represent The Ned brand with polished appearance, refined etiquette, and genuine hospitality. Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms, ensuring presentation meets hotel standards. Follow the correct procedure for entering the guest's room and delivering items, ensuring a warm and courteous greeting upon entry. Maintain cleanliness and organization of in-room dining areas and service stations. Coordinate with kitchen and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment - delivery and retrieval of trays and utensils. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Assist in setting up and delivering special amenities and VIP services as required. Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to continually enhance service quality. Set up and break down trays, tables, caddis, coffee set ups, and carts to ensure efficient service. Ensure all items are properly prepared, stocked, and organized for the next shift. Uphold discretion and confidentiality, especially when serving high-profile or celebrity guests. Ensure all orders are double-checked for completeness, accuracy, and special requests before leaving the kitchen. Communicate clearly and efficiently with kitchen, front desk, and housekeeping to ensure seamless service delivery. Proactively restock supplies (condiments, silverware, service trays) and report maintenance or inventory needs to manager on duty. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays. Proficient in using POS systems and handling cash transactions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Physical Requirements: Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands. Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others. Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds. Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required. Must be able to use step ladder. The Ned is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that seeks to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We therefore encourage applications from all genders, races, religions, ages, and sexual orientations, as well as parents, veterans, people living with disabilities, and any other groups that could bring diverse perspectives to our business. Work Perks: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with company-paid life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability benefits. Generous vacation, PTO, and holiday allowances. Career development opportunities and access to industry-leading training. Employee referral bonuses, competitive compensation, and more. Complimentary stays and discounted family rates to experience The Ned as our guests do. Compensation: $20.14 per hour.
