The Department of Language, Literature, and Arts is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty at the San Antonio campus. The successful candidate will teach one or more courses in community arts and arts administration. There may be the opportunity to teach core Art, Music, or English classes. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed. Salary: $3000/course Required Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Art, Music, Dance, Theater, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution. 18 graduate hours in Art, Music, Dance, Theater or similar field. Preferred Education and Experience: College or University teaching experience. Experience with hands-on teaching techniques. Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, multicultural student body. Completed M.F.A. Applicant Instructions: Please make sure to provide the following documents: Application/Faculty Form Letter of interest Curriculum vitae Applicants must submit a complete set of unofficial transcripts (official transcripts are not necessary to complete the initial application) and contact information for three references. Finalists will be required to provide three current, original letters of recommendation to the Search Committee Chair at the address above. The letters should be less than one year old and should bear the writer's actual signature. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Office of Academic Affairs, TAMU-SA, One University Way, San Antonio, Texas 78224. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
