Med-Surge Renal Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Med-Surge Renal Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with renal conditions in a medical-surgical environment. The LPN position involves collaborating with registered nurses and healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care, manage chronic renal issues, and assist in medical procedures. Regularly monitor and record patients' vital signs and other assessments, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or physician. Administer medications and treatments accurately, maintaining strict compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies. Work collaboratively with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver a comprehensive care plan tailored to each patient's needs. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medical procedures, and postoperative care strategies, enhancing their understanding and involvement in care. Assisting in managing the workflow of the Med-Surg Renal floor, including prioritizing tasks and responding promptly to crises or urgent situations. Uphold infection control policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe and effective healthcare environment. Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing duties as required. Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Current and valid state license. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
