Senior Network Engineer

This position reports to the Manager of Network Services and will manage all aspects of the project including vendors and consultants to achieve goals on all the network projects with an enthusiastic willingness to contribute. The Senior Network Engineer must have rich experience managing enterprise networks, architecture design, implementation, migration, and operation management, which may involve the following technologies: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Network Security, Audio Visual, Voice systems, Server/Storage/Backup systems, etc. This role must be able to gather IT requirements, build and manage schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and create status reports. Develops and maintains productive working relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders and key business users. Facilitates efficient communication across all levels of a project & stakeholders involve ensuring consistency in reaching the project's goal. Works closely with the users and technology workstreams to identify requirements. Prepares cost estimates for staff resources, vendors, consultants, hardware, and service costs (i.e. WAN, Internet, voice circuits, etc.) Develops project plans, defines team deliverables, and supervises the work of various team members. Conducts all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, and closure for projects. Manages issues, risks, change controls, and status reporting. Provides technical insights and advice to customer stakeholders for the project's planning & execution. Supports project sponsors and the team to communicate, report, and collaborate with Toyota's counterpart departments in Japan. Applies project management methodologies (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices as directed by senior management or that are most appropriate for the project. Supervises technical resources, including contingent workers, associates, and 3rd party vendor staff as appropriate. Oversees IT installations on-site (may require travel) Plans team members' work assignments and schedules, and guides and monitors work performance. Communicates project status regularly to the management and project stakeholders. Provides decision support for project sponsors, decision-makers, and stakeholders involved in related projects. Defines & maintains roadmaps detailing workstreams for continuous improvement. Prepares closing documents, and ensures smooth transitions to Operations Teams and local IS Teams Improves project performance via regular status reporting and executive reviews. Investigates specific performance issues and communicates early warning signs of risk. Enforces consistent performance reporting guidelines to make reporting efficient for stakeholders. Recognizes any potential opportunities, risks, or complications at the customer side. Informs TTS-US upper management to make action plans for TTS-US to expand its business opportunities.
