Service Engineer

Carrier Marine & Offshore Systems is responsible for selling air conditioning products and systems for every commercial application from cruise ships to fishing boats, offshore drilling platforms to oil tankers. This position can be worked onsite in Syracuse, NY or worked remotely from Florida or Texas. Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and cool installations on board of ships and offshore islands in alternating circumstances Independently perform complex services, repair and maintenance procedures, and commission cool installations Detects the source of failures and fixes malfunctions of different natures Manage internal ordering of proper parts to fix technical malfunctions Perform technical analyses of mechanical and electrical systems Provide service support and commission new installations in consultation with the owner and/or building team Perform advanced test procedures Detect damages on technical installations and submit reports High degree of domestic and international travel required Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED 3+ years of experience with HVAC controls and automation Travel, including domestic and international (up to or above 80%) Must be a US citizen Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Chiller experience Experience installing and troubleshooting HVAC equipment Familiarity with KTA (accelerated corrosion / protective coatings and corrosion prevention) Familiarity with KTC (exhaust temperature sensors) Experience with measure-and-control technique, as well as electro technique Knowledge on the use of relevant applications and automation packages Ability to solve problems, signal bottlenecks, and anticipate in alternate solutions Ability to maintain flexibility and anticipate scenarios with customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to deliver high levels of customer service Creative problem-solving skills and ability to offer unique technical solutions Available 24/7 to respond to unplanned customer requirements; this includes extended business travel outside of the United States (primarily to cruise ships and ports) Pay Range: $61,213 - $107,122 Annually Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
