Motor Wheel Chattanooga is seeking candidates with heavy industrial experience. Foundry experience is preferred but not required. This position performs multiple functions within the Band Line department to ensure the safe and efficient production of bands. Responsibilities include: Operate multiple or all of the following positions: Uncoiler Shear Burr Cutter Butt Welder: Weld band ends together on the welder Rim Roll Upsetter Inspector: Inspect and measure bands, load position bands in fluxer, inspect bands when flux process is complete Stacker: Stack completed bands to proper pallets Operate overhead crane to load and unload coils from truck to storage and machine TRS Make adjustments to the robot as needed Monitor/log/record process Assist in changeovers Record coil information, steel lengths and verify band stamp Operate industrial powered equipment Cross-train other employees as required Certifications: Will be required to become certified to drive industrial powered equipment (example: fork truck) Physical Requirements: Moderate to heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs with assist) Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking Lifts supplies/equipment Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies Manual dexterity and mobility Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching Near Acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less Depth Perception: the ability to judge distance and space relationships Field of Vision: ability to see peripherally Accommodation: ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus Temperature Changes: variations in temperature from hot to cold Noise: sufficient noise
