Senior Level It Database Professional

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced professional to design, deploy, and manage advanced networking solutions across both cloud and on-premises environments. This role involves troubleshooting highly challenging technical issues related to Oracle databases, with a focus on Exadata and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement network solutions leveraging fabric and host-based technologies. Diagnose and resolve sophisticated technical problems on Oracle Cloud and local Exadata systems, covering architecture, clustering, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup processes. Set up, configure, and maintain complex networks that bridge cloud and physical infrastructure. Collaborate on integrating various IT services spanning cloud platforms and data center environments. Assist in aligning project priorities with available resources. Maintain configuration baselines, monitor configuration management databases, and drive continuous improvements. Implement and enforce policies to safeguard the security and integrity of client databases. Provide support for both live and test Oracle database environments by addressing issues, managing data changes, preparing documentation, scheduling and reviewing maintenance tasks, and minimizing downtime through effective problem resolution. Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements. Serve as a go-to expert for database management inquiries and challenges. Plan and execute improvements in database design and data handling. Establish and manage backup strategies across customer database systems. Document infrastructure changes, testing outcomes, and operational workflows. Perform database modeling and gather client requirements to optimize migration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning efforts. Qualifications and Certifications: Must hold IAT Level II certification or equivalent. Comprehensive understanding of database architecture and hands-on administrative experience. Skills and Experience: Proficient with tools such as CellCLI, ExaCLI, DCLI, ExaDCLI, and patchmgr for Oracle Exadata administration. Substantial experience configuring, securing, monitoring, updating, and backing up Exadata hardware and software. Familiarity with clustering technologies from multiple vendors. Deep knowledge of Oracle database features and extensive experience with large-scale database management. Expertise in backup and recovery techniques including ZDLRA, RMAN, and various restoration scenarios. Work Environment: Occasional off-hours work may be needed for system updates and incident response. Comfortable and safe work setting with appropriate lighting and climate controls. Majority of work involves desk-based tasks with occasional movement. Compensation: $200,000 to $220,000 per year annual salary. *Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
