Engineering & Technology Manager
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is looking for an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager that will be responsible for the management and development of their team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution! As an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. As an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Management and development of the team Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions. Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development. Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS). Basic Qualifications: Must currently hold a Active DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science. Other related degree field with significant software development experience Experience with embedded development using a real-time operating system Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical embedded software systems/programs Process Improvement and Affordability experience Software engineering Management or Software engineering Team Lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring Desired Skills: Strong software architecture and design experience. C/C++/Ada experience Linux/VxWorks experience DevSecOps experience (CI/CD, Git/Gitlab) Agile development (Scrum/Kanban) Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams Basis of Estimate (BOE) development Control Account Manager (CAM) experience In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment. Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience including Agile EVMS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Prior Engineering Management Proposal Development Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking Strong interpersonal skills This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
