Bellperson Job Overview
The Bellperson is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by assisting with luggage, escorting guests, and ensuring smooth arrivals and departures in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. As a Bellperson, you are often the first and last impression of the property, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience. What You'll Be Doing Greet arriving guests warmly and assist with unloading luggage from vehicles. Escort guests to their rooms, explain room features, hotel services, and amenities. Assist departing guests with luggage and transportation arrangements. Deliver packages, messages, or amenities to guest rooms as requested. Maintain a clean and organized bell stand, lobby area, and storage rooms. Coordinate with valet, front desk, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth guest transitions. Provide local directions, restaurant recommendations, and respond to guest inquiries in a helpful and courteous manner. Skills and Abilities High School diploma or equivalent. Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 75 lbs. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Working Conditions & Physical Effort This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions. The position involves interaction with guests and hotel staff and may require the use of luggage carts and radios.
