The TRIO Upward Bound Program Coordinator will provide academic advising and support for program participants in their pursuit of post-secondary education. Program Coordinator will provide advice/assistance in high school/college course selections, assistance with PSE application forms for admissions & financial aid, providing information on colleges & financial aid, and assistance in successful completion of high school. Other duties include, but are not limited to, event/trip planning and coordinating, supervising high school students (may include overnight), collaborating with a team, and making sure WSU & school policies are adhered to. The coordinator will also plan/coordinate/execute summer programming and other duties as assigned. This is a full time (100% FTE), project position. This position is overtime eligible. Project end date: This is a project position expected to end on August 31, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. Required qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience. Bachelor's Degree & experience working with high school students. Must have a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications: Bilingual in English & Spanish. Experience assisting with implementing federal/state student educational or college-readiness programs.
