As part of the Cloud Infrastructure team at Tinder, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the systems that support hundreds of millions of active users each month. We're a relatively small, tight-knit group of curious and pragmatic software engineers who are passionate about automation, scalability, and empowering product engineering teams with the tools they need to build efficiently at scale. Work on a high impact, greenfield project Build highly reliable software solutions Work on a cutting edge Kubernetes and Envoy service-mesh stack Collaborate with various technical and functional teams across our company Own all aspects of software engineering and product development Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews Recruit, encourage and develop other team members What We're Looking For:
5-7+ years of software development experience 1-2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud providers Strong communication skills and a passion to drive projects from start to finish Good experience with backend languages like Python, Go and Java Excellent knowledge of computer science fundamentals, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design Bonus Points If You Have:
Docker experience Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible experience Kubernetes, Envoy, or service-mesh experience Experience managing a CI/CD platform (Buildkite, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.) Experience with cloud networking (VPC, ELB, Route53/DNS, etc.) BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or similar subject area $180,000 - $200,000 a year The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
