Peer Support Specialist (Treatment Aide)
Join our team of helping professionals as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS)/Treatment Aide (TA), supporting the recovery and growth of teens in our residential treatment program. As a Treatment Aide, you'll work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing. You'll also provide cognitive, behavioral, and emotional support to help our clients overcome substance use and mental health challenges. As a PSS/TA, you'll play a vital role in creating a supportive and caring environment for our clients. You'll participate in daily activities, supervise daily routines, and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each client. Treatment Aides participate in and supervise daily activities and utilize motivational interviewing and other evidenced-based practices in providing cognitive, behavioral and emotional support for adolescent clients. This position is based in beautiful Prineville, Oregon. Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person Hourly wage: Starts at $26.25/hour with an additional $1.25 for the graveyard shift. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Possess personal and professional integrity. Responsible, dependable, ethical. Calm demeanor and the ability to address conflict and challenging behavior with compassion and kindness. Strong desire for helping young people change their lives, find hope, and build health through holistic wellness and recovery from addiction. Enjoys the challenge and finds gratification in working with and helping teens with challenging behaviors. Preferred Qualifications: Current Traditional Health Worker Certification (Recovery Mentor, Youth Support Specialist or Peer Support Specialist) or has the required qualifications to obtain certification (i.e. has personal or family personal experience in receiving addictions or mental health services and are in recovery).
