Job Summary: The After School Program Coordinator (ASPC), under the supervision of the UCP After School Program Director, manages all operations of campus after school and summer programs, including 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC), and After School Enrichment Programming (ASEP) Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with UCP After School Program Director on planning and implementing school year and summer programs, including adult family member events, behavior plans, and day school collaborations. Coordinate with School Leadership and teachers to support student learning and behavior, discuss issues, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration for student success Assist After School Program Director in recruitment of staff and volunteers. Supervise all afterschool staff during program hours. Conduct program orientation & trainings for staff Recruit, enroll and retain required student numbers, providing orientation and handbooks to enrolled families; keep student/staff files updated and in compliance Provide communication to families regarding information on after school programs Develop & implement system for regular communication with families, including announcements, emergency notifications, and quarterly newsletters Collaborate with After School Program Director to ensure that target budget revenue and expense goals are tracked/met. Collaborate with UCP After School Program Director to ensure all mandated monitoring and compliance including but not limited to: Maintain accurate enrollment and attendance data for each program in its mandated format Collaborate with day school and After School Program Director to collect grade and performance data for FLDOE Deliverables as requested. Collaborate with School Business Manager to ensure families who are paying for aftercare services are charged accurately and are up to date in payments. Coordinate with school food/kitchen staff to order, organize, and distribute daily meals/snacks and track required data. Coordinate a minimum of six family events per year & track 21st CCLC family attendance for grant compliance purposes Oversee staff and students in daily running of after school and summer programming- including but not limited to: Ensure that each program has a posted schedule (and is followed consistently) and daily written lesson plans with staff assigned to specific duties. Monitor staff schedules including dismissing staff when enrollment decreases during the program day (i.e. parents pick up early) Gather, organize, and distribute supplies for hands on project-based learning and maintain site inventories of all program materials. Ensure grant materials are kept separate and only used for their approved grant. Ensure enforcement of UCP and 21st CCLC Family handbooks. Schedule behavior meetings/interventions with families when necessary. Work with school day and UCP After School Program Director in enrollment and removal of students and families in after school programming Ensure compliance with requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, 4C, Department of Children and Families (DCF) and grant monitoring and compliance through FL Department of Education (FLDOE) Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education and Training: (or equivalent) BA or Associate's degree in the field of education, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Completed DCF 45 Hour Training Certification Required within 90 days. CPR Certification Required Minimum Experience: 1-3 years experience managing after school/ summer programming or youth development programming for elementary students. 1-3 years supervisory experience Strong organization, writing, and communication skills Commitment to helping all students succeed Experience working with students with disabilities Demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage challenging situations while overseeing supervision of students from beginning of program to release at end of day.
