Logistic Clerk
Our Muskegon site is seeking a detail-oriented and organized logistic clerk (shipping & receiving clerk) to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. The logistic clerk's primary responsibilities are to prepare and maintain necessary paperwork and verify outgoing orders, perform inventory transactions, and provide labels for inbound and outbound material. This position will also require inventory monitoring and scheduling of outbound material via logistic brokers and carriers. The ideal candidate will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others, and have experience in coordinating logistic activities. The candidate will maintain positive work relationships with members of the department and other teams to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered, ensuring their efforts support strong, collaborative relationships with customers. Essential Job Functions
Monitor and maintain customer orders and shippable material data and create deliveries as material becomes available. Prepare and maintain necessary paperwork, including but not limited to shipping picks, Bills of Lading, and labeling, according to hazmat shipping requirements. Verify accuracy of paperwork and schedule outbound material via logistic brokers and carriers. Liaison between the company and any outbound logistic transportation companies. Coordinate export shipments and process any necessary paperwork. Filing of paperwork and performing associated SAP transactions. Assist with daily logistic activities to include receiving raw materials and supplies. Assist with scheduling daily logistic activities for warehouse personnel. Other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience:
HS Diploma or GED 3+ years' experience in logistics; proficient in standard shipping processes. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and an ERP system. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties. Ability to work under pressure and within schedules to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to become HazMat certified. Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory transactions. Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time. Ability to work without supervision. Preferred Education and Experience:
SAP experience. Knowledge of DOT requirements. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
