Sow Farm Manager Ii
Country View Family Farms LLC d/b/a Clemens Food Group Duties:
Oversee production of sow unit on farm and lead team members. Oversee operations including employee management, performance management, compliance and safety. Work closely with HR on determining hiring needs and conduct on-site interviews. Work with Nursery Service Manager on health and numbers; communicate health challenges. Execute animal care plans including vaccination and med plan. Audit and manage supply and med inventory. Execute biosecurity programs, animal welfare program and production policies. Execute continuous improvement plans. Monitor budgets and targets. Develop a yearly business plan with Sow Service and update quarterly. Facilitate weekly farm meetings to engage team members. Participate in monthly regional farm meetings and quarterly whole system meetings. Ensure adequate supply of CO2, fuel, compost material, safety and maintenance supplies, report water meter readings, and schedule compost hauling. Verify weekly transportation schedule. Lead with a focus on efficiency and developing the team and manage all aspects of the performance of the team including defining target, coaching, training and development, and scheduling. Schedule:

Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry Science, Agricultural Engineering or closely related field of study and one (1) year of experience as a Swine Herdsperson, Veterinarian, Swine Veterinarian, Veterinary Asst., Farm Asst., Agricultural Mgr., Production Mgr., Farrowing Lead or rel. role where req. exp. gained. Special Skills:
Also requires experience in the following: Production and Financial Management; Resource Management (i.e. personnel, vendor, equipment, etc.); Farm facility design; Developing animal welfare programs and collaborating with veterinarian teams; Experience creating SOP's and development plans; and Auditing.
