Line Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for inhalers and Nasal Sprays. Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Line Maintenance Technician for the Manufacturing Group. The Line Maintenance Technician provides technical support for the equipment and process within the manufacturing operation at our Morrisville site. The individual will be required to perform general maintenance and set up of manufacturing, filling, and packaging equipment as well as support the continuous improvement of the overall operation, root cause analysis, and problem solving to ensure efficient manufacture and packing of batches. They may also be responsible for leading small-scale process improvement projects and taking a lead role in maintaining a safe work environment. This is a full-time hourly position on 3rd shift with core hours Sunday to Thursday, 10PM
6AM. Overtime may be required, and shift may have variability to meet production needs. The Role: Responsible for efficient operation, corrective and preventive maintenance of Unit-Dose/Bi-dose/multi-dose vial fill/finish, Dry Powder Inhaler, and relative support processes Assist in the development and revision of standard operating procedures to provide information to complete tasks in a standardized and consistent manner Troubleshoot and repair any potential problem, electrical or mechanical, that interferes with the efficient operation of equipment Interact with vendors and suppliers as needed Keep work areas clean, tidy, and well-ordered in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice and health and safety requirements Assist and/or lead validation protocol executions Operate as support to Line Maintenance Supervisor when needed All other duties as assigned The Candidate: High School Diploma or GED required with three or more years of mechanical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/processing Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred; with an Associate's degree two or more years of mechanical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/processing is required; with a Bachelor's degree one or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting is required Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge is required Candidate must have good written/verbal and technical comprehension skills Must be able to read and interpret basic schematics and equipment drawings Physical requirements: This position is in an office and manufacturing environment. Individual must be accessible to manufacturing areas and office staff and able to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirement includes reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently. Individual may be required to sit, stand, and walk regularly and lift up to 40 pounds.
