Cybersecurity Specialist
Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the security and integrity of the C2BMC system. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand specific security requirements and developing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce these requirements on the C2BMC system. Focusing on vulnerability management, including analysis and remediation of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), Vendor Patches, and STIG configurations. Developing and overseeing GPO releases delivered to the Warfighter on a regular cadence, ensuring timely and effective implementation of security updates. Assisting in the development and implementation of Cyber Releases in the National Team labs, C2BMC Test Facility, and Operations, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of security updates. Providing guidance and training to junior engineers on GPO development, testing, and best practices, helping to develop their skills and expertise. Please note: This position requires a DoD government security clearance at the SECRET level; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. The role will involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. As leaders of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin partners with industry leaders to develop and field the backbone of America's missile defense. Our national team supports the design, development, testing, integration, and fielding of hardware and software elements essential for the effective operation of the Missile Defense System (MDS). You will have opportunities to interface directly with key customers, including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). At C2BMC, you will work alongside a team of technical professionals, including software and systems engineers, architects, and project engineering teams, at our Federal Drive location in the northern part of Colorado Springs.
