Fresno, CA, with some travel required throughout the Sacramento Valley/Central California region. About the Role

The Senior Programs Coordinator will report to the Outreach & Programs Manager and is primarily responsible for coordinating program initiatives across CAIR-SV/CC's regions. This person delivers programs in alignment with CAIR's mission, drives community engagement, builds our volunteer network, and plans outreach events. Duties & Responsibilities

Delivering CAIR-SV/CC public education programs, interactive workshops, training sessions, and forums. Must be comfortable with public speaking. Coordinating and delivering CAIR's flagship programs including Bystander Intervention Training, Muslim Day at the Capitol, Muslim Gamechangers Network, and the Muslim Youth Leadership Program. Complete program budgets, including budget proposals, requesting approvals, and ensuring compliance across the various programs. Recruiting, managing, and engaging interns and volunteers. Supporting the planning and coordination of the annual fundraising gala under the direction of the Operations Manager. Coordinating marketing and outreach efforts for CAIR-SV/CC programming. Working with Islamic centers, MSAs, and other faith communities and communities of color on a variety of social justice programs. Representing CAIR-SV/CC with relevant organizations, including but not limited to college campuses, nonprofits, and mosques, events, activities, and meetings. Ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of program execution, from initial planning stages to post-event analysis. This includes rigorous monitoring of program timelines, budget compliance, and quality of deliverables. Developing and implementing problem-solving strategies to address challenges in program coordination and execution. This requires proactive identification of potential issues and the ability to devise effective, creative solutions promptly. Adhering to and socializing the use of project management tools including Asana, ensuring communication and accountability. Other duties as assigned, dependent on organizational needs and employee skills. All CAIR staff are required to assist in general duties such as answering phones, weekly outreach, fundraising, and other office tasks. Qualifications

A minimum of two years in program coordination and/or community organizing with demonstrated experience delivering educational or community programs Experience working with the American Muslim community Experience working with non-profit organizations Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with limited time Excellent oral and written communication to interface with community leaders, volunteers, donors, and colleagues in a professional and effective manner Experience with and proficiency in public speaking before diverse audiences Access to a working vehicle and the ability to drive throughout Central and Northern California for events and outreach in an on-demand capacity A strong commitment to civil rights and CAIR's mission Experience working in Adobe Acrobat, Asana, Canva, Constant Contact, and WordPress preferred Proficiency in Dari, Pashto, Urdu, and/or Arabic preferred To Apply: Please submit (1) a cover letter discussing your interest in and qualifications for the position, (2) your resume, and (3) the names and contact information of three references via the link below.
