Advanced Metering Infrastructure (Ami) Senior Analyst

The Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Senior Analyst is responsible for the analysis, data correction, and overall performance of Con Edison's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. Utilizing applications like the Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS), Meter Asset Management System (MAMS), and ProField Encore, this role performs meter and account analysis to identify and resolve issues impacting data delivery for customer billing, outage management, and life safety operations. This is a critical role for maintaining high meter communication rates and read delivery performance across the AMI system. Core responsibilities include creating and analyzing business reports, querying production databases, initiating corrective actions, providing application support, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement of AMI operations. Responsibilities include: Performing daily analysis and initiating corrective actions for non-functional metering and sensor assets in the AMI System. Querying application production databases utilizing SQL developer, MS Access, Tableau and other data tools to drive metering asset function and management. Analyzing and correcting asset configuration management to drive reads and billing performance metrics for customer accounts. Directing technical contractors working for the AMI Operations department in support of routine program work, planned projects and emergent work. Supporting major AMI application releases, business testing, and operational events as required for AMI Operations. Qualifications required: Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant work experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant work experience. Relevant work experience includes: Strong problem-solving, analytical skills with ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions for AMI-related issues. Demonstrated experience investigating discrepancies in information, managing working queues and identifying discrepancy patterns and data trends. Team experience supporting management initiatives to achieve department goals or key performance indicators. Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Developer, MS Access) and data manipulation/visualization techniques on both micro and macro levels to execute informed business decisions. Experience developing, generating and analyzing business stakeholder reporting. Excellent communication, collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Skills and abilities include: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated analytical skills. Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills. Licenses and certifications: Driver's License Required. Physical demands: Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday. Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday. Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday. Ability to read small print and symbols. Additional physical demands: The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able and willing to work overtime and travel within the Company service territory as needed.
