As a Flight Test Mechanical Engineer, you will be supporting multiple flight test builds requiring the following: Generate and release design disclosure using CAD software (CREO) Work under the direction of other mechanical engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems including mechanisms and flight test products Support technical trade studies and design maturation efforts Participate in issue resolution and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely execution Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities Collaborate with manufacturing personnel on design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Basic Qualifications: Experience in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline with knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and processes Experience utilizing Creo software and/or similar experience Ability to perform foundational skills performing GD&T Ability to coordinate/communicate across multiple disciplines Ability to work in a reciprocal and team-based environment Willingness to travel when required. Ability to obtain a government issued security clearance, must be a US Citizen Desired Skills: Active Secret Security Clearance Experience with flight test and/or tactical bodies User of CREO CAD software Familiar with releasing drawings in EPDM 9.1 Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Experience with higher DSR modeling (DSR4-6) Experience executing Trade Studies Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment) Experience with Q-Notes & non-discretant hardware resolution Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines including stress, quality, manufacturing, production, and design Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
