Field Integration Technician For 5G Networks
We are deploying infrastructure for 5G Networks. A telecommunications startup focused on efficient and strategic support to the nationwide 5G deployment, helping OEMs and operators achieve enhanced connectivity for their networks. The field integration technician will be responsible for new and existing technologies integrations to the network. LTE & 5G integrations as per site requirements and work with the construction crew on site to complete the job scope. Installation may also be required alongside commissioning and integration tasks. Responsibilities The work involves installing, configuring and later integrating new 5G equipment from Ericsson (as well as de-commissioning and removing old equipment from the site). You will be part of a growing team, coordinate tasks with integration engineers, and perform related tasks. A qualified candidate will have 1-2 or more years' experience with working at telecommunications sites (ie, BTS/radio installation, fiber, telco, light electrical, etc). Experience with installation, commissioning and integration of Ericsson LTE & 5G equipment. Good hands on experience on BB5216, BB6630, BB6648, BB6651 - installation/harvest as per TMO standards. Should be able to integrate the basebands with ECI/SIF scripts, ability to make the changes on them if needed. Able to integrate the IXRe and locally login to the router as needed. Understanding the port mapping, power connections on the Ericsson small cell radios 2203/4402, macro radios 4460/4480/8863. Experience on working on Ericsson cabinets (indoor/outdoor), 6131/6102/6160/6601. Configuring external alarms on the SCU. Call Testing on the Stand Alone bands for N19/N41 as needed. Able to troubleshoot fiberloss alarms, VSWR, no-connection alarms, LOCP alarms. Should have a working Windows laptop with all software/tools. Experience with using a fiber scope. Theory and application related to project management, radio access networks, backhaul to sites signaling, disaster recovery planning and response, data services and location-based services.
