Network Engineer/Systems Administrator

Rayton's Naval Systems department within the Ground Radars and Platforms Center is seeking to bring on a Network Engineer/Systems Administrator to support integration and test of BEP systems. This individual will be responsible for integration and verification of networking and server architecture in advanced radar systems. This role requires an understanding of networking principles, system integration and test principles to ensure a successful system integration. What You Will Do: Support the Portsmouth, RI based onsite team with BEP hardware configuration activities, ensuring hardware is delivered in the required state to meet customer need dates. Support hardware configuration of test equipment and tactical hardware. Perform integration and test activities on tactical hardware. Execute hardware test procedures. Troubleshoot Electrical and electronic systems. Perform System Administration tasks. Execute multiple tasks concurrently. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior engineering experience. Experience with hardware configuration. Experience with Linux and/or Unix. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: Strong networking skills consistent with CompTIA Network+ Certification or Cisco CCNA Firm understanding of multicast traffic behavior Experience with network-attached storage devices Experience installing, managing and maintaining networking switching Experience identifying and troubleshooting issues with hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken What We Offer: Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
